Interested in volunteering? This is a beautiful way to serve Our Lord and assist families in our county!
Our Pregnancy Resource Center offers lessons and guidance to families about pregnancy, birth, parenting, and life skills. When our mothers finish a lesson, we give them diapers and wipes, baby clothes, maternity supplies, cribs, carseats, and anything else they may need for life with their little children. But even more importantly, when our mothers come in, we get the opportunity to pray with them, talk with them, rejoice with them, and offer an ear free of judgment for whatever they may be going through.
In this period in our history when life is severely undervalued and under attack, Christians need to step up. We need to be present for our mothers in need and show them the compassion and love of Jesus Christ. Volunteering at the center is not an enormous commitment. We ask for three hours of your time once a month. Currently we are open Mondays from 11-2 and Thursdays from 4-7, and we have two volunteers working each shift. Your responsibilities would be to give the client what she earned from her lessons, ask her how she is doing, and pray with her before she leaves. If this is something you feel you could do, please prayerfully consider volunteering. We would love to hear from you, no matter your background!
